Ron Wheeler

After graduation I started college, quit after two semesters and went in the Air Force. After that, went back to college, graduated and went to work for Fresno County for 14 years then the City of Clovis for another 14 years. I then retired and boy am I glad I did!

During my junior year, Chris Dau, Alan Krause and I got in our cars and drove down some alleys in Beanville at night while the Sadie Hawkins dance was going on in the cafeteria. We stopped in one of the alleys, got out of our cars and looked for a chicken coop. Upon finding one, we reached inside and snatched a chicken. It made so much noise we knew someone would hear us so we ran like hell back to the cars. I had left the driver's door open on my car, but being so dark, Chris didn't notice it and crashed into it, bending the heck out of the body just in front of the door.
We went back to the dance and released the chicken inside the cafeteria, which then proceeded to fly around and scare some people.
I never did tell my father the truth of how the car got damaged.
